blurry as it was that day
dimly lit and oh so pale
clearly still I felt it sway
and unknowing setting sail

blurry as it still remained
softly speaking out of sight
clearly still I came unchained
and unknowing lost the fight

blurry as the evening hit
barely known within a glance
clearly still I had to sit
and relinquish my last stance

blurry as it crystallized
swiftly seeing all the more
clearly still too mesmerized
and too rattled to the core

blurry as it was that day
barely seen and oh so frail
clearly still I see the sway
and am gladly setting sail
